Simplify Your Affiliate Workload with WordPress

Several weeks ago I had the privilege of speaking at the 2021 PMA Spring Conference: Connect. For this 100% virtual conference, I was able to combine two of my favorite topics — affiliate marketing and WordPress* — into one presentation.

In this approximately 25-minute presentation I shared twenty tips for using WordPress to better build your online presence, manage your affiliate content, optimize your site’s performance, and improve your SEO. Specific WordPress plugins to use are suggested. You can view the entire presentation below:

In Summary

The presentation shown above was broken down into five focal areas with four specific WordPress plugin recommendations given for each area. Here are the five areas covered:

  1. Content
  2. Links
  3. Marketing
  4. Social
  5. Security

In addition, I shared a virtual handout which you can view and download below. This handout contains summary details and links to the above twenty resources plus some bonus material.

*AffGeek is part of Businesswright, my consulting agency. At Businesswright we separate most of our affiliate management and WordPress support projects into “sub-agency” focal areas: our affiliate marketing programs are managed through AffGeek while our WordPress support is administered through MagnoliaGeek. This specialized division of labor allows us to better optimize our delivery of technical expertise and ongoing support for clients. It also provides enhanced opportunities for us to assist publishers (affiliates) since we’ve found WordPress to be the most common content management system used within affiliate marketing. To this end we are curating an ever-growing list of affiliate resources.
